Use the ip dhcp pool command to create a DHCP pool and give it a name. Now let’s configure DHCP server: DHCP(config)# ip dhcp pool MYPOOLĭHCP(dhcp-config)# network 192.168.12.0 255.255.255.0 Let’s prepare the interface first: DHCP(config)# interface fastEthernet 0/0ĭHCP(config-if)# ip address 192.168.12.1 255.255.255.0 We will use the 192.168.12.0 /24 subnet for this demonstration. The router and computer are connected to each other using a simple switch and in the same VLAN.
